Answers

  1. How long do orders take?
This depends on current stock. I aim to get all orders done within 3 weeks, and if this is not possible, you will be refunded, minus any paypal fees. Most mail orders for things like iPods and PSPs will take about 1 week on average, pick up items (local area only) will be done within 2 days if items are in stock, and items such as certain PSP repairs and Xbox controller mods (when not in stock) generally take about 2-3 weeks. If you really want your item done fast, contact me and ask if I have enough stock.

  2. How secure is my payment?
I use paypal, which is entirely secure. I do not have any access to your bank account details or personal information when using paypal except name, address, and any checkout notes left.

  3. How can I trust you?
Check my reviews. I have had many happy customers, and you are entitled to various guarentees mentioned in the about page. When using paypal, you also have the option to withdraw your payment if I do not respond within 21 days.

  4. Can you fix/mod my [item not listed on products page]?
Use the contact form to request a quote, and I will tell you whether or not I think I can fix/mod your item, and if so, a price.

  5. How will I know if you are away?
If, for whatever reason, I will be away, I will post a notice on the home page, however, you can still order items. Please note that these will not be able to be completed until I return.

  6. How much experience do you have?
I have lots of experience repairing/modifying Xbox controllers, PSPs, and iPod touches. I have also repaired other items such as PS2s, phones, watches, radios, and computers. I have been interested in electronics for a long time, and have been fixing, disassembling, modifying, and making various electronic devices for about 5 years now.

  7. Where do the repairs/mods take place?
I have a small workshop with premium, professional equipment. I have numerous tools and screwdriver sets to get into almost any gadget, and tools for precision soldering and drilling. All items are handled carefuly to avoid damage, using rubber gloves, antistatic mats, and protective casing. I have a large selection of components which can mostly be used for modifying Xbox controllers, however, most modern electronics use SMD (surface mount device) technology, so I have to also stock spare parts for various devices, although some SMDs (like the LEDs used for Xbox controller mods) can be soldered with my precision soldering iron, without damage to the rest of the circuit.
